rn33 (Slovakia, 13 Nov 2004): Hello, I´ve been in
Jasna in March´04 and it has been my best ski holiday. It is
the best ski center in Slovakia and the best ski center in central
Europe (except for Austria) too.In Jasna is new a 6-chair bubble
jet and it is the best funicular in this ski center. In this ski
center are above 20km ski slopes and above 20 ski lifts (north and
south side of Chopok. This ski center has only one shortcoming: very
strong wind in Lukova. This ski center is very good and I recommend
to visit this center. HI
Tommy (Slovakia, 20 Aug 2004): Chopok is No.1 for me.Very
adventure and funny skiing.Very deep snow in steep terrain. You must
see it!!! wauuuuu
Frantisek Pupava (Seattle, WA USA, 12 Feb 2003): I grew
up on Chopok. It is a great ski mounten. It is hardly ever groomed
so you have to ski moguls all the time. Even races are set on moguls.
But if you get good in mogels than you are good enywhere. I had
the best times of my life there. Chopok was my home away from home.
I miss Chopok. It would be nice to have a web side to go to and
see the snow conditions.
Patrick (Germany, 20 Nov 2002): I`ve been in Jasna in
Januar `02 for some days. We had good conditions. We don`t had to
wait at the lifts. IT`s still very cheap there. Jasna is the best
eastern resort I have been.
Charlie Henry (USA, 26 July 2001): I skied the area many
times in the early 90's. When the snow conditions are good it has
excellent access to back country skiing. In fact one of my top
10 ski days occurred here-- mainly because on good powder days
everyone stuck to the main runs leaving plenty of untracked snow,
all day!
